Jenny Hval Announces First North American Tour

Experimental Norwegian artist Jenny Hval is embarking on her first North American tour following the release of her second album Innocence is Kinky. In the past, Hval experienced difficulty touring in North America due to visa restrictions, and trouble assembling the proper musicians to effectively perform her work. For her upcoming tour, Hval will be accompanied by Havard Volden (electric guitar, synth, electronics) and Kyrre Laastastad (Drums, synth).

Innocence is Kinky is a cerebral experimental pop record that deals in blunt terms with unorthodox subject matters including traditional gender roles and sexuality. It’s a striking, at times beautiful record that’s complex yet surprisingly accessible.
